Harold Holigan – Owner & Founder
Harold Holigan started his career at Southwestern Bell (AT&T) after graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After 18 years and managing 14,000 employees, Harold made a career change into residential land development in 1981.
During the 1980s, Harold developed over forty manufactured housing land lease communities in eight states that are valued at over two billion dollars today and owned by the largest manufactured housing REITs in the country. Harold’s equity partners at that time included Robert Bass of the Bass Brothers, and later Jim Clayton of Clayton Homes.
In the 1990’s, Harold and his son Michael started Holigan Homes through which they built over 8,000 single family homes and developed over 40,000 single family lots, primarily in Texas and Tennessee. Recognizing certain inefficiencies in the homebuilding process and to help reduce the construction build times for Holigan Home franchisees, the Holigan’s created an online supply chain collaboration system known as MH2 Technologies. This system is known today as Hyphen Solutions and is responsible for 1/3 rd. of all housing starts in the United States annually. MH2 and Holigan Homes were sold to Hick’s, Muse, Tate and Furst real estate division in 2002.
From the early 2000s, Holigan Investments has grown and diversified its portfolio to include office, commercial, and farm & ranch holdings while continuing the tradition of developing quality single-family, multi-family, and manufactured housing communities. Holigan Investments has also held land off balance sheet for builders such as Weyerhaeuser, KB Homes, NVR, and other publicly traded homebuilders.
Michael Holigan – Owner
Michael Holigan started his career at Holigan Investments (part time) by working in ditches belling pipe in 1981 while in high school. He started working full time in 1987 after graduating with a degree in Marketing from Texas Tech University.
Michael oversaw development of manufactured housing land lease communities in Dallas, Nashville, Kansas City and Salt Lake City in the late 80’s, and then transitioned into single-family land development and homebuilding in the 90’s.
In 1993 Michael produced and hosted an infomercial for Holigan Homes. Due to the popularity of that infomercial, he started a Dallas based television series about homebuilding entitled, Your New House. Your New House went into national broadcast at the end of the year with the network launch of HGTV. Michael then put the series into national syndication on 180 stations across the country in 1994. In 2000, Your New House began running as a one-hour daily series on Discovery Channel.
For the past 20 years Michael has focused on entitling and developing thousands of single family, townhome, and manufactured housing lots for the largest homebuilders in the country.
Aaron Ketchand – Chief Operating Officer
Aaron Ketchand serves as Holigan Investment’s Chief Operating Officer and oversees the company’s daily operations as well as the implementation of its strategic objectives. His responsibilities include the oversight of each business unit’s real estate acquisitions, entitlements, development, and/or asset management. Prior to joining Holigan, Aaron held senior leadership positions at several companies including Leon Capital Group, Bright Realty, and Forest City Land Group and has 20+ years of experience developing real estate in multiple asset classes throughout Texas and Colorado. Aaron received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Centenary College of Louisiana and later his MBA from the University of North Texas.
Trenton Dickerson – Acquisitions Manager
Trenton Dickerson serves as the Acquisitions Manager for Holigan Investments and is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, entitling, and coordinating closings on all company acquisitions. Prior to joining Holigan, Trenton worked in real estate development for Bright Realty and asset management for Bank OZK. While at Bank OZK, Trenton managed a diverse portfolio of loans consisting of multiple asset classes with a total loan commitment of $600MM and corresponding retail value of greater than $1B. Trenton received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 2016 with a double major in Finance and Energy Commerce. Trenton is a licensed real estate agent in Texas.
Benton Smith – Development Manager
Benton Smith serves as Development Manager for Holigan Investments overseeing the construction process for the company’s residential projects. His responsibilities include the oversight of project budgets and schedules as well as the coordination with contractors and governmental entities. Benton has over 10 years of experience in residential development from small subdivisions to master planned communities. Benton received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University.
Brandon Holigan – Project Manager
Brandon Holigan serves as Project Manager for Holigan Investments and is a third generation Holigan to join the family business. He earned several years of construction and superintendent experience overseeing all phases of multi-million-dollar commercial construction facilities. Brandon’s day to day responsibilities include managing the entire construction process while coordinating multiple construction projects, liaise with local municipalities, subcontractor management, contract documents and scheduling.
Josh Ceniceros – Project Coordinator
With a strong portfolio of over 7 years successfully managing projects, Josh Ceniceros is well known for his role as project coordinator, overseeing day to day scheduling of new construction, remodeling, and working with various subcontractors. Josh specializes in carrying out all aspects of a project from conception to execution and feedback, which has given him an excellent reputation in the field. He has extensive experience developing project scopes and objectives, specifying deliverables, and coordinating efforts in completion.
Sandy Vasquez – Office Manager
Sandy Vasquez serves as Holigan Investment’s Office Manager as well as its home office Property Manager. With 15 years of experience in project management, marketing, and nonprofit fundraising, she is a seasoned professional especially effective in helping create efficiencies in company processes. Sandy earned her BS in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Leadership from Capella University.
Amanda Holmes – Senior Accountant
Amanda Holmes serves as the Senior Accountant for the Holigan Investments. She has over 20 years of accounting experience with most of those years spent working in the oil and gas industry. Amanda is a Texas native. She grew up in Lubbock, attended Texas Tech University, and obtained a Bachelor of Science from Texas Wesleyan University
